We want to get involved, where do we start?

Register your interest with us, telling us your location and the age group that would be involved. We would then help you source a kit car.

That depends on the age range, and therefore car, a new goblin car (ages 9-11) is currently £1735 ex VAT and a F24 car is £3275 ex VAT. Older used cars are also commonly available often found around the £400-600 range. The SSRC also has some cars which new teams may be able to borrow.

No. Although only one person can drive the car at any one point, teams are encouraged to swap drivers after each short (~1 minute) lap ensuring every team member gets many chances to drive at any event. Along with building the car, the team will also require members for fundraising, promoting the initiative through social media, designing the bodywork of the car.

Yes, every part is avaliable on the greenpower shop. It is also possible to source used or 3rd party replacements for some parts.

Most teams use a school minibus and/or transit van or trailer. There are organisations that can help the schools by transporting the cars for nothing. Contact us for details.
